Encouraging inmates — Sablayan, Philippines

I started with LMP in 1999 and Brother Abel joined us in 2001. Both of us are a product of the 1000 Missionary Movement, a mission training school here in the Philippines. ... Rigth now, we have the privilege to preach the Word of God inside the maximum security cell to lifers.

We conduct bible studies every day in the four prison facilities of Sablayan Prison and Penal Farm, and additionaly weekly church services on Saturday. At the present we have our own church in each facility, administering 260 baptized inmates.

Some testimonies of inmate brethren

"We can transcend our life of suffering within the prison walls because joy floods our soul."
"While trapped behind prison walls, I discovered myself as a Bible student and learned about the Sabbath."
"Thank you that in some ways there are people who provide for our material needs, showing us that Jesus really cares for us."
"Now that Jesus is in my heart I can be a living witness to bring more souls to His feet."
